I delight in sharing my books with kids, helping them learn about the importance of empathy and the joy that comes from spreading love and kindness wherever they go!
After 20+ years as a school counselor I am convinced that teaching these lessons in creative ways to young children can inspire and empower them to become adults that make a positive impact on the world around them.

Author Visit Information:
I love working with schools and organizations to personalize visits! Most visits for Pre-K through elementary include a reading of the text, puppet time/student interaction to discuss themes, and a Q&A session that allows students to ask questions about writing and the publication process. I also do teen and adult workshops on publishing and writing books for children as well as Career Day Events. I am also available for virtual author visits. I charge a reasonable honorarium to attend visits and ask that you either purchase/sell books in advance of the event. We received a wonderful visit from author and speaker Tammy Gerhard to read her book Cocoa Hugs and Cocoa Mugs. Her interactions with grades K-4 were engaging, fun, and informative. It was clear that she is also a seasoned educator. After reading the book with her plush doll of the main character, she did a brainstorming activity with grades three and four on how to write their own stories and a character development activity.
